You have not known what you are.
You have slumbered upon yourself all your life.
Your eyes have been as much as closed most of the time.
What you have done is already in mockeries.

The mockeries are not you.
Underneath them
And within them,
I see you lurk...

conflicted steps

Step one, two

Spell love

With your kiss

That I miss

And then release

My lips goodbye

Then say hi

To the end

Knees bent

On the ground

Feet bound

To last forever

But never

Forget my scent,

Nor lament

The fading shadow

That is I.

Till death not part

From my heart—

A secret place

To find and chase

Your voice

That sings songs

And prolongs

My breaths,

And breaks the line

Of decaying time.

Swift as air

My pulse beats

In the heat

Of your skin

I inhale

In reverse—

A curse

I will embrace

And trace

Back to this night

And your light

Tearing my mind

Rewind!

Step one, two

Say I love you

Then free me from you—

That I will miss

And I will kiss

Only in dreams

After this fleeting bliss.

This, my friend, is contradicting, and all too tragic.

To profess one's love, only to let it go is one experience that one shouldn't have to go through. But the sad reality is it happens more often than necessary.

Aha! Self-confessed book borrower! I really need to catalog my collection, but I haven't a clue yet on how to start. hehe

Great mix of emotions! Just as a saw reveals the finer grains of the wood, your writings opens a layer each of your wondrous existence.

knilig ako. ewan ko, it evoked a sensual feeling that i felt when I was watching, "in the mood for love."

We climb and climb and at the top we fly
Let the world go on below us, we are lost in time
And I dont know really what it means
All I know is that you love me, in my dreams

same point as shats'. the poym in its sing-song fashion gets to levels that make one think on the push-pull of relationships.

Simple but easily read. At least the meanings werent hidden in various forms of psychobabbles.

Smooth to the eyes and the brain (to those who have it). NICE!

ah, women.... can't live with them, can't live without...

I can spew a bunch of cliches for you like "if you really love someone then you'll let them go", or "it's better to have loved and lost" blah blah blah...

but I like this one: "there's plenty of fish in the sea"... find yourself another muse brother hehe.... although I like the tortured poetry...

-----

BTW, the same goes for those of us who almost lost loved ones in 9-11.... the reality is that we all lost something that day.

take care man.
